Children’s HealthWatch staff presented our research at the AcademyHealth Annual Research Meeting in Minneapolis, MN:

  • Ana Poblacion gave a presentation on “Development and Validation of a 1-Item Screen to Identify Families at Risk for Very Low Food Security”. This work is of strong interest to state partners and health providers working on addressing social needs in the health care setting, among others.
  • Stephanie Ettinger de Cuba presented a poster and gave a presentation on Children’s HealthWatch’s recent work on co-enrollment – examining how and why families don’t participate in all the safety-net benefits they are eligible for: “Implications of Co-Enrollment for Safety Net Programs Among Families with Young Children: A Real-Time Qualitative Case Study of Design and Implementation” (poster) and “Safety-Net Program Enrollment Gaps, Administrative Burden and Public Policy Environment Among US-Born and Immigrant Families with Young Children” (presentation).
