Maureen M. Black, PhD

Emeritus Principal Investigator, University of Maryland

Maureen Black is the Emeritus Principal Investigator for Children’s HealthWatch’s Baltimore Data Collection Site at the University of Maryland. Her research interests include maternal and child health.

Dr. Black was the associate editor of the Journal of Pediatric Psychology and served on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology, Clinical Psychology Review. Currently, Dr. Black is the John A. Scholl Professor of Pediatrics and the director of the Growth and Nutrition Clinic at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She is also an adjunct professor in the psychology department at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

Dr. Black received her BA from Pennsylvania State University in Mathematics and her PhD at Emory University in Psychology.
