Since 2018, Children’s HealthWatch has identified one person or organization to recognize as our annual Champion. This Champion has continuously advocated for and advanced evidence-based policies that help children thrive.
We are thrilled to present the 2024 Children’s HealthWatch Champion award to the Economic Security Project. This award is given to a person or organization who advocates for evidence-based policies that help children thrive.
The Economic Security Project has been a partner and support to Children’s HealthWatch for years, leading on the state and national levels to advance family tax credits and champion guaranteed income. Founded in 2016, their vision is that every American should have the freedom and stability required to thrive. They do this by advocating for and supporting bold ideas and policies that build economic power by running campaigns, providing grants, and developing creative interventions and research products.
Children’s HealthWatch has been working alongside the Economic Security Project to get more cash back into families’ pockets by advancing tax credits at the state and national level and building support and evidence for guaranteed income. We know that when families have more resources, they are healthier.
