CHW published a new policy brief on the impact of stable housing on Minneapolis’s children.

To Thrive, Minneapolis Children Need a Place to Call Home

Children’s HealthWatch analyzed surveys from 6,000 young Minneapolis children and their caregivers collected between 2005 and 2011 at the Hennepin County Medical Center. We found that approximately 67% of families were housing insecure. Housing insecurity is a known health risk for young children. Compared to children in securely housed families, children in housing insecure families are far more likely to be in fair or poor health  and experience developmental delays.
