Feeding Our Children – One Report Says 16.2 Million Children Live In “Food Insecure” Households

Stephanie Ettinger de Cuba, Children’s HealthWatch Research and Policy Director, was interviewed on the WNPR (Connecticut Public Radio) program ‘Where We Live’ for a discussion entitled ‘Feeding Our Children.’  The discussion was organized in response to a feature article revealing the extent of hunger and food insecurity in Connecticut.  Joining anti-hunger advocates, the author of the article, and the school nutrition association, Ms. Ettinger de Cuba  discussed the health and development implications of hunger and food insecurity for young children and school-age children and the challenges for parents of accessing and affording healthy food.
