Northeast Regional Anti Hunger Network (NERAHN) strongly opposes House action on split Farm Bill
July 23, 2013
The Northeast Regional Anti Hunger Network (NERAHN) expresses its shock and dismay at the passage of a Farm Bill (H.R. 2642) by the United States House of Representatives that does not include a Nutrition Title. We understand clearly that this is just one of many attempts to make draconian cuts to federal nutrition programs that help children, the elderly, people with disabilities, and struggling working families.
NERAHN thanks the Members of Congress who voted against this bill. We will continue to work to support legislation that decreases hunger in America.
